[It's not too long at all before he arrives outside of the instructors' rover. He's got the portable cooler that Dagger had given to him under one arm; he hadn't exactly been sure if he'd need it, but he tended to err on the side of caution. Despite how bulky and cumbersome it was, Kaneki doesn't seem to have much of an issue holding it.
[Surprise causes his shoulders to tense up minutely; he turns to face Dagger who... dropped down from a tree. Oh.
At his question, Kaneki mutely looks at what he carries with him (as if noticing it for the first time). Pause. His ears grow a bit red. He faces the instructor once more, words rushing a half-step faster than his thoughts as he replied.] I, uh, didn't know if I would... need it. [He wasn't sure how this was going to go down, and he also tended to err on the side of caution.]
If I don't, I can go put it back. [Not that long of a walk... even though he hates taking up Dagger's time. He's still a bit flushed with embarrassment.]
